Alla Nazimova a popular and influential silent film actress

Alla Nazimova (June 3, 1879 – 13 July 1945) was a Russian American film and theater actress, a screenwriter, and film producer. She is perhaps best known as simply Nazimova, but also went under the name Alia Nasimoff. Alla Nazimova emigrated to the United States from the Russian Empire and became influential in the film industry during the silent film era and continued to play character roles till the end of her life.
