Joan Crawford – An Academy Award Winning Actress

Joan Crawford (March 23, 1906 – May 10, 1977) was an American actress in film, television and theatre. Crawford won an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for “Mildred Pierce” (1945) and was nominated twice more for Best Actress in a Leading Role for “Possessed” (1947) and “Sudden Fear” (1952). Joan Crawford was voted the tenth greatest female star in the history of American cinema by the American Film Institute.
